Summmer= back to work!!

Back after a brief hiatus...but got a LOT done since I last updated. Spring and summer have been busy,  almost done with the large interior renovations!

Part 1: Upstairs Kitchen

April- demolition begins on upstairs kitchen

Kitchen before...50s charm?? I think not...
Late April- Sub-floor down

Hardwood and paint...

Took a little break in May...June- Paint and hardwood
Yup, Bri trusts me with this thing...
Beautiful bamboo hardwood floors- I thought we should have installed mirrors and kept it a huge dance room. No dice.
Lets get those cabinets and appliances in!!

Oh the tedious process of cabinet assembly, not my favorite
I know you all love your Darius updates....I think here he is....holding down the floor?? Well done D.

Meanwhile...back at the ranch, this was happening:
Annnd 4 baby robins hatched on our porch...so that was pretty cool. They contributed nothing whatsoever to the reno.
Ok, back to it..
Before......
NOW!! This is July, still lots to do...but coming along. (note that the door and the radiator are the only things that stayed)
Bar next and concrete countertops to be poured soon...but lookin good so far!

Part 2: Downstairs Bathroom...

Demo, new tub and window
Dimitri and kendall were tile machines...
Shower done, yes...this is Dimitri's signature design!
Shelf and rice paper on window
Annnnd some trim work...
It's the little things...sure beats maroon!

Our tans were suffering from all the inside work...needed to get some sun! A little landscaping..
Hostas along the front...
Day lilies on  back yard perimeter

Tune in for WAY more work to come, we are on a roll this summer!

Remember the way this house USED to look....all new window installation and siding over the next few weeks!!
                                                                See you all soon!!

  1. To begin on residence improvement in kitchen countertops, as the world of fashion is evolving at a fast pace. You could not require lots of cash, if your renovation plans involve smaller steps.
